AIFAIF Player Development

The AIF is pleased to announce its player development program under the direction of Charles Gunnings. While the AIF is always pleased to make hometown heroes out of our players we also see the need to school and prepare our players for their future and a potential move up to the AFL, CFL or NFL.

As Director of Player Development Charles “Coach Gunnz” as he is known to his peers in the industry will be responsible for implementing two programs new players to the AIF and veteran players to the AIF.

Under the new players program Coach Gunnz and his staff will be running league player combines where players will be tested and evaluated with the test results being made available to all AIF teams and coaches as they look to add quality players to their rosters. In addition he will be working with outside organizations to scout and recruit players to the AIF such as the USA Football Network and their collegiate all-star game held each January for graduating seniors.

Under the veteran program the AIF will work to get its players the best exposure possible for players to be seen and noticed by the following leagues AFL, CFL and the NFL. Not only is this program set up to maximize a player’s athletic ability but also to teach them the skills needed and how to act when given the opportunity to advance. This program will be done through AIF seminars and clinics.

Part of developing future players is reaching kids at an early age, Coach Gunnz will be assisting in the AIF for Kids Youth Football League as well as setting up and holding kids football camps and clinics throughout the league.
