Capitals and Eagles home finales will be broadcast live on HerbFM Sports Radio May 24th to May 25th for the American Indoor Football Game of the Week Doubleheader
York Capitals and Washington Eagles home finales of their 2013 season will be broadcast live on your Regional Sports Network, HerbFM Sports Radio to get your Memorial Day weekend started with some hard hitting action.
On Friday night May 24th starting at 6:30pm is American Indoor Football game of the week special between York Capitals (4-2) and the West Virginia Badgers (0-3) from York City Ice Arena.
These two teams played each other one month ago at York City Ice Arena and the Capitals won by the score 56-18. Kickoff is scheduled for 7pm.
On Saturday May 25th starting at 6:45pm with a non-conference game between Hampton Crusaders and Washington Eagles live from Garden Ice House in Laurel Maryland and Kickoff is scheduled for 7pm.

York Capitals Partner With League of Extraordinary Athletes
The York Capitals are happy to announce that they have partnered with The League of Extraordinary Athletes (LEA).
L.E.A. is an organization that provides strong mentoring opportunities for all youths in the York area. L.E.A. offers adult guidance for young people through sports mentor-ship and athletic endeavors.
April Collier, the founder of L.E.A. stated "I saw the need for mentor-ship in the York area and wanted to pair that with my love of sports. Being able to partner with the York Capitals and have the players helping the areas children will only enrich the League of Extraordinary Athletes".
John Morris, owner of the York Capitals said " This absolutely fits the model of what I envisioned for a community based indoor football team. The York community has embraced the York Capitals and we are blessed to be able to give back to the community. This partnership with the League of Extraordinary Athletes brings a wealth of college educated athletes to assist the youth in this program."
Stampede vs Eagles - AIF Game of the Week
This week the Stampede try to get back on track with a tough road game at Washington Eagles next Saturday at 7pm on AIF game of the week on HerbFM Sports Radio.
Harrisburg Stampede will be traveling down to the Baltimore/ Washington area on May 18th to see if they can get back on winning track after losing a tough game at home last weekend to the Cape Fear Heroes by two points. They take on the Washington Eagles that can beat a team that is above .500 but they are just not getting the breaks at the end of the game to pull out the victory.
The Eagles are coming into this game without a win this season, but this team looks like they are improving each week with offense that can get this team in shootouts with top teams in American Indoor Football.

American Indoor Football (AIF) top two teams Harrisburg Stampede and Cape Fear Heroes are getting set to battle in the city of Harrisburg, PA on May 11th and HerbFM Sports Radio will start their coverage at 2pm, get ready for Round 2 between Heroes and Stampede kickoff at 5pm.
Coverage starts at 2pm with Replay of AIF Live Radio show with Mike Wood than a special pregame show live from PA Show Arena in Harrisburg starting at 4:30pm to get you ready for this classic matchup.
Last time these two teams played was two weeks in Fayetteville and Stampede gave Heroes their first lost by the score of 39-30 and both teams had a week off to get ready for this rematch.

Capitals Rematch Rivalry Battle with the Stampede

Harrisburg Stampede travels to city of York Saturday Night for the Rivalry Battle with the York Capitals.

These two teams played two weeks ago and it was a very close game in Harrisburg but the Stampede pulled away from the Capitals by the score of 63-20.
Harrisburg Stampede is trying to sweep the season series on Saturday Night at York City Ice Arena against York Capitals or will the Capitals get their win over the rivals from Harrisburg.

York Capitals Defeat West Virginia Badgers 56-19
The York Capitals won a decisive victory over the West Virginia Badgers 56-19 Saturday night at the York Ice Arena.
The Capitals fans once again showed up in force to watch the victory in spite of the fact that it was Earl Weaver night at Camden Yard with a sold out crowd and a make-up game for the York Revolution. Capitals owner John Morris was very pleased with the turnout at Saturday's game. Morris stated " I am glad to be in York with this football team and I think we have a great loyal fan base to this team already."
Asked whether the Capitals team was ready to face New Orleans Saints wide receiver Marques Colston's Harrisburg Stampede team next week Morris replied " We look forward to it being a hard-hitting match up with top notch talent."
The Capitals will have 3 monkeys inflatables for the kids prior to the game, come early and tailgate before the game and when the doors open the Capitals will be offering free beer to any fans over 21 and all the excitement you can handle. If you plan on attending tell a friend about your York Capitals!!

Capitals Beef Up The Offensive line
The York Capitals have signed Maurice "Big Mo" Mitchell.
Big Mo played for the University of Florida Gators and looks to be a huge addition to our offensive line. Big Mo stands 6'8" and weighs in at 390 pounds.
Big Mo calls Gainesville Florida his home but looks forward to playing here in York. Mitchell works with high school athletes during the off-season to help prepare them for the rigors of college play.
Big Mo plans to be a lion on the field protecting the quarterback. Big Mo's influences in his life are his high school football coach John Reynolds, NFL star Lawrence Taylor and Martin Luther King.
