The Harrisburg Stampede scored 42 unanswered points and improved to 3-0 this season with an easy 62-7 win over the Virginia Badgers Saturday at the PA Farm Show Complex.
Stampede quarterback E.J. Nemeth accounted for a total of eight touchdowns -- five passing and three running -- and the Harrisburg defense allowed Virginia (0-3) just 73 yards of total offense.
Harrisburg running back Eugene Goodman's 33-yard pass reception from Nemeth in the second quarter made the score 27-7 and the rout was on. Goodman finished with 61 yards rushing on six carries, as well.
West Virginia University product Jermaine Thaxton made nine tackles, including three tackles for a loss.
