The Arizona Outlaws played their season opener tonight at Tim’s Toyota Center in Prescott Valley, Arizona against the Las Vegas Lynx to a crowd of 600. The show kicked off with a pregame rally hosted by Leeza Live of Magic 99.1 in the concourse. Saraphina Foley 8th grader at Franklin presented the National Anthem. Cub Scout Pack 6 honored the crowd with our colors. The starting roster included Dominique Mitchell WR, Tony Norman DB, Eric Harrison DB, Kevin Breaker WR, Jamar Dials WR, Erik Jones WR, Jamie Cota QB, Telford Chapman QB, L.J. Parker, Joshua Cooper DL, Chris Collins LB, Rosevelt Ross RB, Jaa Valentine, DB, Ray Warren DB, Tone Woods LB, Lorenzo Chambers OL, Joshua Push DL, Caleb Bialik DL, Lee Brown OL, and Larry Brady DL.
The 1st quarter # 23, Roosevelt Ross rushed for the Outlaw touch down. #8 Erik Jones made a 2 point conversion. Nevada’s attempted field goal was blocked. Arizona’s ball. Outlaw Telford Chapman #11 throws an interception to Nevada. At the end of the first the score read Outlaws 8, Nevada 0.
2nd. Telford Chapman throws a touch down to #8, Erik Jones. Nevada scores. Extra point no good. End of second score reads Arizona 16, Nevada 0.
The half time show was unique to Prescott Valley and Tim’s Toyota Center. The dance team The Jersey Lillies led by Paige LaForte took the field to begin the show. A stage was quickly set up in front of the east goal post to complete the half time festivities. Band Two Dollar Grey, signed under Liquid Metal Records amidst their Jager tour brought the energy of their high powered alternative rock to the center. People were on their feet to hear the high octane tunes.
3rd, Touch down Arizona Outlaws #11 Telford Chapman to #7 Jamar Dial. , #23 Roosevelt Ross rushing 2 point conversion. Again Telford Chapman #11 throws to #1 Dominique Mitchell , 2 point conversion fails. End of the 3rd Arizona 40, Nevada 6.
